About EMT

Energy Metering Technology Ltd (EMT) was formed in 1993 by Colin Boughton-Smith to provide ‘turnkey’ solutions for energy and water management by the use of emerging technology advances in metering and communication systems. The company developed its own technology to support customer requirements and has evolved products and services to meet the ever increasing interest in energy management among corporations and government.

Its sister company, Energy Control Consultants Limited (ECCL) has been concerned with the full spectrum of energy engineering activities. Expertise includes mechanical, electrical and electronics engineering together with computer software – all targeted at energy, water and environmental management.

Energy Metering Technology has been at the forefront of industry developments and has been recognised with a number of awards for its innovation including most recently the Utility Industry Achievement Award in 2007.
